MP3 Audio Settings and Conversion Guides
Choose the audio settings for an MP3 listening copy, then follow the guide for your source file or batch. These tutorials use All Free Video Converter on 64-bit Windows 10/11.
MP3 uses audio bitrate settings
Available bitrates
The MP3 Audio bitrate menu offers 128, 160, 192, 256 and 320 kbps. The default is 192 kbps.
Audio-only output
MP3 stores sound, not a video picture. Video resolution, frame rate, rate control and video quality controls are disabled in MP3 mode.
Keep the original
A higher audio bitrate cannot restore detail missing from the source. Keep the original video if you might need its picture or another audio output.
Choose your MP3 guide
Where to save the audio
In Output settings, scroll down to Save to. Use Browse... to choose your output folder in the Windows folder dialog, then click Save settings. Return to the main window and click Convert. Open the completed MP3 and check the sound before removing the original video.
